About us & Amish belts

 
R W Leather began as a side business in 1994 making leather belts out of the basement of our home. Located in The Heart of Ohio's Amish Country. As the business expanded over the years, we moved to a larger retail and work shop space. The main focus, which has consistently been my specialty, is full grain leather belts.
  

 In 2013 we sold our property in Walnut Creek Ohio and moved to 357  Kimber road Wooster Ohio. R W Leather's mission is still the same, high quality products at a reasonable price. All of our belts are individually handcrafted, from Wicket & Craig vegetable tanned leather. The tannery is located in Curwensville Pennsylvania.

  It’s true that the belts made at R.W. Leather are unique. Roy began his business as a hobby and although he had a few people help him along the way, he mostly taught himself the craft. However, those trial and errors have helped him learn his craft and produce a product that he and his wife can guarantee with confidence.

   There is a wide variety of styles, widths and colors available for people to choose from. Different designs include plain belts, creased belts, embossed belts, stitched belts, heavy leather belts for concealed carry, harness leather belts, ranger belts, money belts, and women’s belts in many different colors. Not only do customers receive a story behind the process of their personalized belt, but they receive a product that lasts. Also, every belt is customized to your size when purchased.

  Our Specialty - Refined Leather Craftsmanship, Combined with Old world English bridle leather, taking you back in time to 1800's Era Quality. Our family takes pride in hand cutting, hand edging and finishing your personal leather belt with black extra smooth edges. Certainly, we use only the finest  American, full grain, vegetable tanned leather. As a result, leather belt's that will develop a rich patina with wear and be with you for years to come.
